ARTICLE 19: EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Revised June 2003
19.1 Employee Participation Requirements:
Each employee that works more than 50% of a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) contract
shall participate in one of the health plans offered by the District to unit
members at Employee expense. Employees participating ion the District’s health
plan offerings shall have the cost of the plan selected by the Employee paid for
through equal monthly payroll deductions. Employees may utilize the IRS Code
Section 125 Plan established by the District to pay for these expenses.
19.2 Health Plans:
AETA shall have the opportunity to review and select three health plans offered
by an insurance provider selected by the District. Additionally, AETA may
provide recommendations related to the district-wide high deductible plan. AETA
shall be notified of the annual plan-offering meeting held by the insurance
provider. AETA shall send representatives to attend the plan-offering meeting.
AETA agrees to notify AESD no later than the last contract day of the current
school year as to which three plans have been selected by AETA to be offered the
following year. If no notice is given, the plan choices shall remain the
unchanged.
