ARTICLE 25: TERM OF THE CONTRACT Revised June 2007
25.1
The Agreement shall be in effect from March 1, 2006 through and including June
30, 2009 and shall continue in full force and effect until a successor contract
is negotiated.
25.2
The parties agree to meet and confer annually regarding the adoption of a school
calendar for the upcoming school year.
25.3
For the 2007-08 school year, the District and the Association may each reopen
one article, except Article 19 (Health Benefits). By mutual consent, either
party may reopen additional articles. In addition, the parties agree to reopen
negotiations on Article 18 (Salary) if at any time between November 15, 2007
and May 15, 2008 either:
(1) the District’s P2 ADA is projected to increase by at least 25 over
the District’s reported P2 ADA for the 2006-07 school year, or (2) the
District’s undesignated, unrestricted reserve fund balance (Fund 17 and
Fund 01) is projected to equal or exceed 4.5% as of June 30,2008.
25.4
For the 2008-09 school year, the parties may reopen negotiations on one article
of each party’s choice, salary, health benefits and, by mutual agreement,
any other articles.
25.5
The parties will meet and confer on a regular basis to resolve issues that
arise during the term of this Agreement.
