ARTICLE 26: COMPLETION OF MEET AND NEGOTIATION
26.1
Consistent with the District Rights Article, the above provision is not intended
to relieve the District of the obligation to bargain with the Association prior
to changing any of the provisions of this contract or adopting policies which
nullify contractual obligations.
26.2
The decision and implementation of layoffs shall be governed by applicable
sections of the California Education Code. The Association shall, upon formal
action by the District Governing Board, be allowed to negotiate concerning
the effects or impact of any layoff if a timely written request to conduct
negotiations is tendered
