Minimum Standards for Hardware

Minimum Standards* for PC Compatibles:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Vista
License or a copy of Office XP Suite

10/100 PCI Plug and Play Ethernet Network Interface Card (Intel Preferred)

Printers

Laser printers are the only printers to be purchased unless a compelling need for color is demonstrated.
Printers currently approved:: 

Laser Printers: HP2015 and the HP1020
Color Laser: HP LaserJet 3600n or HP LaserJet 2600n
Inkjet Printer: Not Supported.

Donated Computers

Must include the Operating System and license for Windows 2000, XP, or newer.
Must be in working condition
Pentium 3, 1.7 GHz or better
512 Meg of RAM
Computers donated by staff for use in their own classroom will not be upgraded, staff member is responsible for file transfer prior to donation, and the machine is subject to the 3 strikes policy (after the third service call it will be removed from service).
