The AESD New Teacher Induction program provides a two-year, individualized, job-embedded system of mentoring, support and professional learning. The program is based on a clearly defined set of goals and outcomes designed around the CSTP and Induction Standards to support new teacher growth and student achievement. Teachers meet with their mentors on a weekly basis to receive just in time classroom support and to create an individual learning plan that outlines their personal professional goals. Teachers collaborate with their mentors to collect evidence of classroom practice that leads to achieving their goals. At the conclusion of the program, teachers are recommended to the CTC for their clear credentials.
We welcome all teachers with preliminary teaching credentials (multiple subject, single subject and education specialist) to the AESD New Teacher Induction program.
We look forward to supporting you as you work toward your clear teaching credential.
